At Blooming Heartz Foundation Trust, our Padiyanallur centre exists for exactly those moments.
Where we are in Chennai
Our Tamil Nadu centre is on Service Road, PT Murthy Nagar, Padiyanallur — a quiet pocket of Tiruvallur district, easily reached from Redhills, Avadi, Ponneri and the wider north Chennai belt. Many of our residents were found within a few kilometres of where they now sleep safely.
A typical day
Mornings begin with prayer, tea and a light breakfast. By mid-morning, we make rounds for medication, blood pressure checks and any small complaints. Lunch is the social anchor of the day — hot rice, sambar, a vegetable, curd. Afternoons are quiet. Evenings, residents gather on the verandah for chatter, bhajans and dinner.
Who we welcome
We focus on abandoned, destitute and low-income senior citizens. There is no fee. Families who genuinely cannot care for an elder can call us; we'll talk it through and, where appropriate, admit the elder into our home permanently.
