On 03 February 2025, as part of our rescue rally, Blooming Heartz Charity Foundation found an elderly woman named Buchamma at the entrance of Poleramma Temple, Tanguturu, struggling to survive by begging for her daily needs.
When we spoke with her, we learned that Buchamma had been facing difficulties with her family, who were living far away from Ongole. Hurt and helpless, she had left her home and ended up living abandoned among other beggars — with no support, care or shelter.
Understanding her vulnerable condition, our team immediately rescued her and brought her to our shelter home. There, Buchamma was given a safe place to stay, regular meals, medical support and — most importantly — psychological care and emotional healing. Over the next three months she slowly recovered from the trauma and began to regain her strength and confidence.
As her condition improved, our team worked to trace and contact her family, informing them about her situation. After careful counselling and ensuring her wellbeing, we reunited Buchamma with her loved ones and safely handed her back into their care.
Even after her reunion, our commitment did not end there. We continue to closely monitor her wellbeing and family environment, making sure she remains safe, cared for and respected.
Buchamma's story shows that rescue is not just about providing shelter — it is about restoring hope, healing emotional wounds and rebuilding broken family bonds.
